i'M JELLY
that a TaLK friend I know has so many Korean friends! Well, it's cuz she's a girl and a foreigner and this country is default sausage-fest country LOLL.
but anyway that aside, yeah, she did an exchange program at a university and she met a lot of friends staying there. I feel like I'm going to all the things that attract so many foreigners.like.. language exchanges... korean language class.i guess I'm jelly that I don't have a "best" korean friend yet.
. haven't found anyone I relate to. then again...1)I live in the sticks!! Our population of the WHOLE -EUP + -GUN (town center & county) is like WAY UNDER 100,000. -_- it's almost antioch status but SPREAD OUT, YOUNG KIDS, & AHJUMMAS + AHJUSSIS.2)THERE'S NO UNIVERSITY CLOSE BY. I feel like I have nobody to relate to! All we do is drink! LOL. I mean, I have my gumdo (sword) and hip hop classes.. but THEY'RE ALL KIDS.
3) I DON'T HAVE MY BACHELOR'S DEGREE. FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE
I WANT THAT BITCH DONE AND OUT OF MY MIND!! So many jobs are waiting for me OUTSIDE OF 'MERICA-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh well. I have some close foreigner friends here. Which includes her too. lollllll. And meeting friends and going to classes increases my network for when.. I FINALLY MOVE OUT OF HERE.
I JUST WANT TO INTERACT WITH YOUNG PEOPLE.
I don't like living for the weekends. Anymore.But then.. the kids act cute and make me want to stay and leave when their school year is over...
LOLdamnit lifeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I think that is one of my concerns as well. Staying there for six months and not having a quality interaction with people because of the language barrier? but then again when I first moved here in the US I felt the same way.. Took a while to make real friends that I kept being depressed the 1st two weeks... haha.. Over there I thought the opposite I thought guys would make more guy friends.. not girls attracting more guy friends.. but I guess not. Lol you'll find one...;) and if you're not tired of us yet,, were still here! You've got a bunch of us here back home!!
@aniehappyheart - lol mmkaaayyy.
You'll have fun. The whole culture thing. And you have a support system. The first month you come, there's an orientation; so you'll have foreign contacts. And you'll have me. Wherever you are, we can meet up on the weekends. You're supposed to be focusing on teaching anyway
. Plus, you'll enjoy your new apartment. Apply to come to Taean LOL. Then, we can finish TaLK together. (If you're only doing 6 months, that is). Cuz all of us are stopping next summer. Well, we don't know who the new TaLK person is..lol, one of us is leaving.
