fitocracy... how to use it? i also thought there was a lot going on, but i figured some things out. basically, i juse use it to track my quests & workouts to level up. it's like, slowly replacing facebook. (i hope dance & korean also fill that gap but like, i get frustrated and discouraged easily
) ...
Starting out: you just enter all your information and then you can "Choose your starter workout."
starting & logging in a routine & exercises (not including saving): Click "Track" on the upper menu. You can choose to start by hovering over one of the "Choose your starter workout" options or you can actually log/track your own exercises and even make your own routines. You should see the date and a search bar with "Search for an activity" in the field. If you type in "run" many options pop up but you can scroll down and find the right choices like "running, run (treadmill)".. like that.
Saving the routine: below, you'll see the big button that says "Save Routine." WATCH OUT. lol, make sure you logged in all of your exercises. I made the mistake of logging in only one and I couldn't get my quest points cuz all of them have to be saved at the same time for that to happen P=.
Under "Advanced save options," you can ..
"Save workout" ---> just normally logging in your workout & calculating exp points
"Save workout & save new routine" --> you can log your workout for the day to get your exp points & save your routine for another time, so you don't have to search all your workouts all the time. you get to name your workout
"Save a copy as a new routine" you can just save the routine for reference. on the left bar it says "your routines". you can always delete them.
I don't think the weight matters in your profile.
Questing: Click "You" on the upper menu and there's a "Quest" section on the left.
I usually open another window so I can enter in exercises from the quest section to form & save a routine for the day, But you just log all the exercises in the quest--with the mimimum amount of reps or more-- and you get points. REMEMBER... to watch out for the amount of SETS or REPS. meaning, if it asks you to do a minimum 20 reps of pushups, you can have as many sets as you want as long as it adds up to 20. If you need a set of 15 lunges, you need to log in a set of 15 lunges. I didn't read it right one time and did 20 lunges but logged it in as two sets of 10. -_-;;. I just did the workout again cuz I don't think you can backtrack. That's probably the only drawback. Cuz, it made me workout again anyway
.
Also, I saved my sets of crunches & didn't get my quest points
...(bootcamp) cuz I accidently pressed "Save workout" before logging everything else in. So, I just waited till another time during the day to do crunches again so I could log it all in and save it at the same time LOLL. Made my abs sore for a lil
.
E-mail reminders:
On the "track page", you can log and schedule workouts. Click the arrow to change the date so that you can schedule workouts for the next day so that you can save time and just log in the workouts instead of searching for the exercises. You can click "schedule workout" at the bottom and you;ll get an e-mail reminder that day

Microwaving food. So I decided to take another look and I've come up with you lose nutrients by cooking food either way. Steaming it or not cooking it at all seems to be the best option. But people say microwaving also doesn't loose as many nutrients as boiling or baking either.
Pros: The "microwaves" are not as radioactive and are non-ionizing. Since the food takes less time to cook in the microwave, less nutrients are lost. There's 3 levels of safetly locks mandated by the covernment to make sure the microwave's radiation doesn't leek out. The way it cooks is outside in, so the heat from the outter layers radiates inwards just like if you were to cook something else on the stove. Not to mention that we get hit by radiation everyday; from the Earth, the Sun.. blah blah. Also, it's effing convenient to use
.
Cons: Cooking food may be hotter than boiling it, which I guess could leads to a loss of nutrients. In 1992 or something they said that microwaving breast milk loses nutrients (but I mean, did they measure that side by side with boiling it?). Why does the government require 3 levels of safety locks? lol.. but I guess better safer just in case. I also read that carrots release more of some vitamin by boiling. hmm. & that the Earth's atmosphere absorbs most of the sun's radiation
. (But I mean, that means we're still getting some anyway)~
I use everything. I have a stove, microwave and that boiling water thing
. I stick pasta in my water boiler cuz I have bad memories of my mom overcooking pasta in the microwave -_-;; making it taste nasty & soft. Sometimes I do that on accident in the boiling water thing (it's built for ramen haha
).. but it's okay. It heats up water super fast & I can drain it directly from the container, cuz there're wholes. SUPER CONVENIENT. hehe. (But I still need a pot holder cuz I have to hold the lid when pouring the water cuz it's super hot--still less to wash)
I brought my "cookbook" I got from Dixon at a thriftshop. It's called "Microwaving light & healthy"..hahaha. Copyright 1985
. looks awesomeee!!

Apps
Productieev- Haven't used it much :/ ..the widget always opens the app. I just want to work from the widget!! The other app I have to complement it LAGS when it updates. Both do. ughhhhhhh I just want to log tasks and stuff without Google spying on me. LoL.
KakaoTalk- It's annoying how you can't just delete friends & you can only "block". oh well. Also, I guess you can keep all your contacts if you make a KakaoStory account but effing I have a million accounts for shit.
(Not to mention that Hang's number still shows as "Connie" in my android contact list -_-;;)
Food Planner -- I'ma try this app again lol. I wanna plan meals & shtufff.
